ASK Scenario Productions and Nitehawk Paintball proudly present PLAY DATE, a REAL paintball scenario game unlike any game in the north west in the last decade+! This event is dedicated to our beloved and well missed Brandon Burbridge. We invite you to come out and have a bunch of fun! Costumes encouraged. We are in need of a Moppet General, and a Toys General. If you are interested, please let us know. Either contact Serenity or Dale. Other roles will be announced as we get them figured out!
We will be adding information to this event as we go, but for now, the storyline:
Since their creator died, the Moppets have experienced many changes. The latest of which is a new studio. Their belongings have been moved over to the new location, and many of the Moppets are already there getting settled in. Feeling rather melancholy, Foggie Bear stayed behind to say goodbye to his home of many years. "I don't know why everyone is so excited to go somewhere new. I like it here," Foggie says rather to himself. Shuffling his feet, kicking up a little dust, Foggie sighs. Rather slowly, the large bear walks to the door, head down. Turning off the lights, Foggie glances back one last time. He closes the door as he steps outside into the light. The parking lot is completely empty. Panic sets in. Where is his car? It is difficult to miss his 1951 Studebaker! Where did everybody go? Just a minute ago some of the others were still there. Weren't they? How long had he been inside? But the door is locked, and Foggie realizes that his phone and bag are in his car…his car that is no where to be found. Taking a deep breath, Foggie decides that he will just walk to the new studio. Sigh. Starting to walk, it suddenly it hits him. Now REAL panic sets in. "I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE NEW STUDIO IS!" An unknown amount of time passes while Foggie just stands there in a daze, not knowing what to do, or where to go. At last, he decides that he must start walking somewhere, as he simply can't stay where he is all night. So our sad and lost Foggie Bear starts walking. Somewhere. Anywhere.
Dandy is off to summer camp. Bugg and Wooly have done everything they know how to keep the other toys from losing their minds due to sheer boredom. This is the longest summer of their lives! At this point, they have given up, and are taking turns, 2 at a time waiting in the window, watching for Dandy's return. It is early evening, and the 3 eyed alien is watching the window with Lenzy the Binoculars. Even with all those eyes and Lenzy's extra ability to see, they cannot believe it! There is a bear walking down the road! "Hey Guys! Guuuuuuuuys!" yells the 3 eyed alien. Thinking that it must be their beloved Dandy coming home, all of the toys come running to see, incredibly excited that their doldrums will finally be over. Imagine their surprise, not to see Dandy at all, but to see a bear walking down the street muttering to himself!
The toys weren't the only ones who saw Foggie meandering along. Bluster saw him too. Now Bluster being Dandy's dachshund, he isn't very big. If you know anything about dachshunds, you know that they are spunky, energetic, and ambitious. They truly do not know their own size, nor would they care if they did. Bluster runs vigorously barking toward Foggie Bear. All the movement and noise rouse Foggie from his internal thoughts. A massive smile erupts on Foggie's face as he leans down to pet Bluster. Unfortunately, Foggie doesn't realize his miscalculation until it is too late. Bluster jumps and lands midway up on Foggie, biting and pulling all the while. He snagged Foggie so quickly that the poor bear had no clue what had happened. Tugging and running the whole time, Bluster hauls the large bear at mock speed, bouncing Foggie across the sidewalk over and over again heading toward the front door. Foggie's eyes grow wide as he realizes that the little dog intends to drag him through a small opening in the bottom of the door. Without much time to react, Foggie thought, "think small, think small, think small!" It was either Foggie's quick thinking or Bluster's aggressive speed, but both the bear and the dog made it through the smaller door within the big door. Bluster dropped Foggie on the floor in the living room, and plopped himself down on the bear. Promptly, the dog started licking and cleaning his new acquisition.
Moving at a high rate of speed, the toys high-tailed it out of Dandy's room and headed for the living room. They worked diligently to be quiet, though not quite stealthy. Catching sight of poor Foggie Bear, Mr. Potato Lead was the first to speak. "Oh man, I wouldn't wish that on anyone! Yuck!" "What are we going to do?" asked Blo-Peep, "We can't just leave him there!" "Sergeant!" called Wooly. "Sir, yes Sir!" came Sergeant's reply as he appeared from behind a large plant. "Sergeant, we need a plan!" Woody exclaimed. The Bucket O' Soldiers, Sergeant and the Barrel Full of Monkeys huddled up to form a plan. Another couple groups of toys huddled up as well. Everyone was doing their best thinking. Trex thought they needed a blockade. Blo-Peep thought maybe she could use her hook to rescue the bear. Bessie thought she could use her lasso if she rode Buggseye into the room. Bugg wanted to fly, but Wooly reminded him how his arm broke the last time he flew… In the end, it was decided that Slinky Dog would be used. All the toys got together to hold Slinky. With all their mite, they pulled back on Slinky and released his front half toward Foggie. Slinky screamed, "grab on!" Foggie only needed to hear it once. He leaped up and grabbed ahold of Slinky with all his might, dumping Bluster on the floor in the process. Unfortunately, Foggie was bigger and heavier than they toys were prepared for, so Slinky didn't spring back very well. Since all the toys were still holding Slinky, they moved to plan B. "RUN!!!" yelled Wooly. Amazingly enough, all the toys ran in the same direction: To the safety of Dandy's room. Bluster was stunned by the sudden race, but not for long. He gave chase any dachshund would be proud of. The toys were just far enough ahead, and gave one final tug after getting into Dandy's room. Wooly and Bugg slammed the door with as much gumption as they could muster. The door closed tight right as Bluster arrived. "Whew!" Bugg and Wooly slid down the door. Much cheering and laughter took place. Foggie patted Slinky on the head, and said, "thank you little buddy, you really saved me!" Then Foggie put Slinky back together before putting him down again. Introductions took place around the room. Foggie told the tale of his woes. The toys promised to think and see what they could do to help Foggie Bear find his new home. For a couple of days Foggie and the toys worked to come up with a plan. The problem they couldn't seem to solve was not knowing where the new studio was.
On the third day, Foggie and Trex were sitting at the desk and in the window respectively, watching for Dandy. Foggie saw a sight he could not believe. There on the street were some of his friends! Moppets were walking down the road, looking high and looking low. Foggie yelled out to them. The Swedish Chief looked up and saw Foggie and started yelling, "ver de fer! Fer de Ber!" This of course caught Bleaker's attention, and he started yelling, "meep meep meeep meeeeep!" Garbanzo now caught sight of Foggie and started tapping the others, yelling, "Foggie Bear! It is Foggie Bear up there!" He pointed up to the window, and all eyes turned to Foggie.
Inside the room, there was a considerable commotion. All the toys wanted to see Foggie's friends that they had heard so much about. Being that the toys were so much smaller than Foggie, they were climbing up on Foggie himself so that they could see. He didn't mind. He was so happy to see his old friends, and excited to introduce his new ones to them. All the toys started cheering and yelling and jumping up and down. What a melee!
Now, down on the street, this looked like an entirely different situation. It truly appeared that the toys were attacking Foggie Bear! Those vicious toys were climbing all over him and yelling inaudible insults! How dare they kidnap and attack our Foggie Bear! Now the Moppets had to figure out how to get to Foggie and save him from disaster.
Just then, Bluster came barreling out the front door barking all the way to the gate.
How will the Moppets save Foggie Bear? Will they get past Bluster and save the day? What kind of pandemonium will ensue?
